Undergraduate Students


John (Jack) Langdon

John has worked with the Isaacs' lab since March of 2004. He has helped in the field and lab with various projects from collecting and identifying native bees and ants in the blueberry system to sampling for Japanese beetle grubs. John is pursuing a BS in Entomology.


Jillian

Jillian Kallenbach

Jillian is a Lyman Briggs senior who has worked in Isaac's lab since August of 2006. She cares for the Grape Berry Moth and Strawberry Sap Beetle colonies. With her green thumb, she also keeps up the lab's greenhouse. With her other thumb she maintains the lab's reference database. She will graduate from MSU in December 2007 with a degree in Lyman Briggs Human Physiology and specialization in Bioethics, Arts, and Humanities. She plans to attend dental school.


Paul Harcourt

Paul is a Junior majoring in Zoology with a concentration on Animal Behavior/Neurobiology. He worked with Luis Teixeira during the summer of 2006 at the Trevor Nichols Research Center in Fennville, MI. Paul monitored the activity of cherry fruit flies in orchards in southwest Michigan and collected infested fruit to obtain fruit flies for future research. Paul is currently helping Luis with his work on how pesticide and baits affect Rhagoletis fruit flies. Paul plans on applying to vet school next year.
