Michigan State University produces a weekly Blueberry Newsletter for Michigan blueberry growers. This newsletter contains weekly reports of crop growth stages, current reports of insect and disease activity, horticultural information, and a list of meetings, new labels, etc. The newsletter is produced by Small Fruit Education Coordinator Paul Jenkins and contains the results of scouting for insects by Rufus Isaacs' lab and scouting for diseases by members of Annemiek Schilder's lab. Contributors to the newsletter include blueberry extension specialists Rufus Isaacs (Entomology), Annemiek Schilder (Pathology), Eric Hanson (Horticulture), Paul Jenkins (Small Fruit Education Coordinator) and extension educators Mark Longstroth (southwest Michigan) and Carlos Garcia (west central Michigan).

The Michigan Blueberry Newsletter is currently funded by grants from the US Department of Agriculture, Environmental Protection Agency (Region 5), and Project GREEEN.
